Defining your energy needs

Pretty much everything we do, is based on energy. As we become more aware of the restraints energy puts on us, technology has come up with more energy-saving appliances. At the same time, this same technology comes up with ever more appliances to make our lives even more convenient. Life on board is no exception: technology does not only make life easier, it also makes it safer.

But let's not get carried away - we have to make some choices for the sake of weight and energy management. We need to be careful what we bring along and what the energy and weight footprints are.

A typical list of such goodies would be:

  • Electric engines
