What is that little thing called lifestyle?
Let's say we care for a short moment about its definition:
'A way of life or style that reflects the attitudes and values of a person or group.'
Applied to catamarans, that gives us a surprisingly broad range of possibilities and opportunities.
(in the tone of a tour conductor...)
"On your left, you may see a spectacular form of free expression we may call fun."
"Please have another look on your left. These guys use every muscle in their body to keep up with their cat! This is commonly referred to as 'an adrenaline high'. This lifestyle keeps its practitioners in seriously robust health while feeling great, too!"
"Are you getting a pain in the neck when I ask you again to look at the left?
Well, then it becomes all the easier to try to imagine the tranquility, the rest and the serious relaxation, these pictures represent.
Warning: Your enthusiasm may be out of sync with the spiritual benefits of the serenity conveyed..."
This is the lifestyle where you take your home with you wherever you go....
Obviously, this can be anywhere
at the port of your hometown,
while exploring the coast lines and the beaches from the 'other side',
while sitting on the sea between a rock and nice sunset,
cruising anywhere in between two continents,
or while dropping anchor in a new harbor.
"And if you think Cats are only for fun, sports, and relaxation, thou art mistaken my friend! Look - again - on your left, and see how cats fit in with the workplace....or rather... ARE the workplace!"
Resorts often use Catamarans these days because guests don't get sea sick, and because there is a large deck, with guaranteed fun (wet bar!).
That is why cats are popular for party boats, in a variety of shapes, sizes, and configurations.
The hard-working CEO and the board need some time off, too. What is better than a great party to impress the world!
In addition, think about all the privacy...
The military have also found a way to stacking the odds in their favor - not by making the playing field level but by keeping the deck level. Because of the characteristics of a catamaran, it can beach itself and tanks and other military vehicles can just roll onto the beach within seconds after arrival.
There are more adventurous models that are both car and boat and resemble a cat. This model is based on the old DUKW, a military amphibious vehicle/boat, that was nearly indestructible. (Sorry, not actually meant for this site.)
When we recommend products and services, we have done the necessary due diligence on the respective items. However, since our site is personal - and sometimes very passionate - our recommendations, preferences, and choices are necessarily biased. We don't pretend to be objective, but we DO go out of our way to find, qualify, and list what we have come to believe is the best of what is available.
