Inspiration

      What else is life than what happens in between the moment you are born until the point that you leave this planet?

      So the big question is: What are you going to do in between those points in time?

      We can think about these questions all by ourselves, but why limit ourselves? Why not dip into the collective mind of humanity and listen to great thinkers and people who have distinguished themselves as trailblazers?

      So here is my idea. Every so now and then, whenever I see something truly inspiring, I put it here. The ideas posted here are therefore in a random order.

      Let's start right away with a biggie!

Knowing he is going to die, Randy Pausch's last lecture

What to do when you (know) are going to die?

Sir Ken Robinson talks about Education

How could we change education to adapt to real life?

Springled with his typical dry humor, Ken Robinson talks about the importance of creativity and how school habitually squashes it by their very structure. So how we can change the education beast?
A joke: "If a man speaks his mind in a forest and there is no woman to hear him, is he still wrong?"

Simon Sinek about finite and infinite goals

Based on Finite and Infinite Games: A Vision of Life as Play and Possibility by James Carse

An extraordinary book that will dramatically change the way you experience life.

Finite games are the usual contests of everyday life, the games we play in business and politics, in the bedroom and on the battlefield -- games with winners and losers, a beginning and an end.

Infinite games are more mysterious -- and ultimately more rewarding. Unscripted and unpredictable; they are the source of true freedom.

In this elegant and compelling work, James Carse offers stunning new insights into the nature of property and power, of culture and community, of sexuality and self-discovery, opening the door to a world of infinite delight and possibility.

The infinite game:

  1. Have a Just Cause;
  2. Courageous Leadership;
  3. Trusting Teams;
  4. Have a Worthy Rival;
  5. Have a Flexible Playbook.
